3-11 Political Forecasting and In-Depth Analysis (Appendix to Issue 3)

Appendix to Volume 1, Issue 3 of the magazine *Political Forecasting and In-Depth*. Includes: “The Risks of Delayed Unification for Xi Jinping,” “Node 2026: No Time to Postpone,” and “Advertisements Related to Three Groups of Political Forces in China.”

The report, “Node 2026: No Time to Delay,” was publicly released on February 27, 2025. It predicted that if the Xi Jinping faction delayed initiating unified action in China, it would expose Xi Jinping himself, his political group, and his family to significant political risks.

“The Risks of Delaying Unification for Xi Jinping” was circulated internally in a small, confidential manner on March 19, 2025, and officially released on September 20, 2025. It specifically hypothesized the impact of delaying unification on Xi Jinping and his group. In reality, subsequent events did not coincide with these hypothetical scenarios in detail. However, predicting the risks to Xi Jinping at the height of his political power is a valuable lesson to learn from.

The advertisement, titled “Advertisements Related to Three Political Forces in China,” was first released in February 2026. (This prediction indicates that all three political forces in China are at risk; none are completely dead, and none are completely safe.)

  • 3-2: The US wins another game; Chinese politicians offer a letter of surrender.

The US victory began even before the Sino-US summit. Ye Qiquan’s prediction a month in advance was validated by this meeting. The summit was scheduled for May 13-15, 2026, but Chinese state media, in their pre-summit propaganda on the 12th and 13th, proactively pledged “mutual support and common prosperity,” aiming to “lay a more solid foundation for Sino-US relations.” During the subsequent meeting, Chinese leaders publicly promised the US “not to initiate unification” in an attempt to secure political protection from the US government for their “uncertain future.”

  • 1- The Tripartite Dilemma in Contemporary Chinese Politics

Based on the announcement of July 1, 2025, China’s current political forces can be categorized into three groups. These are the Xi Jinping group, which represents “the current force of all established doctrines”; the military force, which is China’s most powerful yet most vulnerable political force; and “China’s deep-seated political forces,” which are powerful and substantial but often struggle to form a united front.

  • 3-9 The Causes of the Instability of China’s “July 1st Mechanism”

China’s “July 1st mechanism” is an unstable power order. It is clearly the result of a brutal power struggle among multiple political forces. Within the Chinese military, there may be reasons related to insufficient political ability, resources, or operational skills among military leaders. For Xi Jinping’s side, the surprise attack was the fundamental and direct cause of losing ultimate political decision-making power in China. However, they retained their complete “traditional” power and full administrative authority. This outcome may be the result of a desperate resistance from the core members of Xi Jinping’s group. More likely, it is the result of manipulation behind the scenes by powerful political families in China. For Hu Jintao’s political group and Hu Chunhua, they may be the actual leaders of the “July 1st mechanism,” or they may be a temporary staged performance group. Other powerful political families in China will not sit idly by while weaker political groups seize supreme power. They have the ability to choose a favorable opportunity. They can both escape the “historical responsibility for illegal actions” and manipulate the composition of the next power center in China.

  • 3-1 Delaying China’s Reunification: The United States Wins a Key Battle

Numerous reports confirm that the leaders of the United States and China will meet in mid-May 2026. This represents a crucial victory for the United States. Without investing excessive political resources, the US has secured a strategic truce of approximately four years simply by arranging a summit meeting. Due to the political environment surrounding this summit and its subsequent political effects, the process of China’s reunification with Taiwan has been postponed until at least 2029, or even later. This provides the US with at least four crucial years for recovery. The US can use this window to restore and even strengthen its overall warfighting capabilities and overall national competitiveness. China, on the other hand, is thus placed on a strategic defensive position. It cannot be ruled out that China may forever lose the historical opportunity to grow into a dominant empire.

  • A US Perspective on the “Low Tide of the Imperial Order”

The fundamental reason for the current downturn in the United States lies in China’s interception of US tax revenue globally. This results in the “reliable tax revenue of the empire” failing to cover the “necessary costs of the empire’s operation.” This has led to widespread hostility towards China in the US and Europe, with a desire to completely defeat China. However, using confrontational strategies to completely defeat China at the national level is an unrealistic expectation. The fundamental reason for China’s long-term implementation of “destructive strategies” is that the current power groups do not share appropriate economic pricing and adjudication power with China. Cooperating with China to build a new imperial order is a worthwhile option to consider. The main resistance to this option comes from emotional social resistance. Its supporting factor lies in data-driven rational factors.
