3-0 Political Forecasting and In-Depth Analysis, Issue 3: Table of Contents

The third issue of “Political Forecasting and In-Depth Analysis” mainly discusses China’s “July 1st Mechanism” and China’s reunification.

This issue of the journal contains two articles about the US-China summit. Although both are published in the same issue, these two closely related articles were actually first published a month apart. The article, first published in April 2026, predicts that the US, by simply arranging a US-China summit, will postpone China’s unification process by approximately four years. The article, first published in May, confirms the former prediction. It confirms that Chinese politicians, for their own benefit, have betrayed China’s national interests by agreeing not to initiate the unification process during Xi Jinping’s term. Worse still for China, the unification process has already been effectively postponed until after 2029. This will be a strategic defeat for China. Unless China produces another strong politician with political maneuvering abilities comparable to Xi Jinping, this defeat cannot be reversed.

Another major section of this issue discusses the event announced by China on July 1, 2025. It focuses on the nature of this event, its causes, structural instability, and possible drift directions.

In the philosophy section, two articles were published discussing the philosophical definition and value of war. Although there are only two articles, they are expected to spark a series of debates.

  • A11 – A Japanese Perspective on the “New World Order”

Finding the right path is crucial to Japan’s historical future. In the impending period of “chaos before the start of a new order,” Japan will face enormous risks, but also the potential to seize opportunities. Thorough prior research and the development of comprehensive, multi-dimensional action plans can provide the right guidance for Japan’s choices at critical moments. The new East Asian order is a historical trend, but it is not yet fixed. Japan’s focus should be on in-depth research to steer events in a direction that benefits Japan’s long-term interests.

  • A20 – Ethnic sub-identity is the basis for national turmoil/division.

Given years of pro-independence maneuvering, it’s reasonable to expect Taiwanese people to resent “one country, two systems.” They have also been misled into believing that mainland China is imposing “one country, two systems” on them. However, the reality is quite the opposite. Due to the negative effects of the Hong Kong “one country, two systems” model and the backlash against mainlanders in Taiwan, “one country, two systems” is widely labeled as treasonous by mainland citizens. Because the Taiwanese government’s frequent manipulation of the pro-independence issue in recent years has angered the mainland central government, the mainland officially stripped Taiwan of its substantive political space under “one country, two systems” in August 2022. Furthermore, “one country, two systems” harms China’s geopolitical interests, leaves a window for foreign interference in China’s internal affairs, hinders national integration, slows down China’s historical progress, and sows the seeds for future secession. These are the reasons why the central government refuses to grant Taiwan “one country, two systems.”

  • A18 – The decision-making power for China’s reunification lies in its ability to “eliminate the nuclear option”.

In the event of a military conflict between China and the United States in East Asia, the option of nuclear war cannot be completely ruled out. China must assume the responsibility of “eliminating the nuclear option in advance.” Once the nuclear war option is definitively eliminated, the probability of China’s military operations in East Asia failing is quite low, especially if China adopts a “defensive-offensive strategy,” in which case the US alliance would have virtually no chance of winning.

  • A15 – (Timing of China’s Reunification): 2026 is significantly better than 2028 or 2029.

China’s unification action, in terms of military scale, is a small-to-medium-scale military operation. However, in essence, it will become the highest-level political action of this century. It essentially declares China’s formal commencement of building an imperial system akin to the G2, G3, or G4 framework. The United States must retreat from its position of sole global taxation power. When discussing the timing of China’s unification, a series of issues deserve in-depth consideration. If China provides relatively favorable answers to 14 minor issues, then taking action in 2026 is far superior to taking action in 2028 or 2029.

  • 1-9: Under the national security mechanism, Hong Kong people no longer have room to play dirty tricks.

Hong Kong people oppose the completion of the details of Article 23 legislation. However, this is their responsibility as stipulated in the Basic Law of Hong Kong. Legally speaking, it is illegal. They have consistently relied on this illegality to gain political and economic benefits from the central government of China. However, this practice is unsustainable. Ye Qiquan predicts that this political inertia will be halted.

  • A10 – The Chaos of Imperial Order from a European Perspective

Europeans are optimistic about the war in Ukraine. Their support for prolonging or even escalating the conflict is based on a political assumption: the “European victory theory.” From a practical and short-term perspective, this theory is supported by economic data, political realities, and historical experience. In fact, Europe does hold the initiative on the battlefield. However, from a long-term and geopolitical perspective, the “European defeat theory” may be more accurate. Europe has been divided into two parts by this war, leading to a significant weakening of its geopolitical power, a loss of political prestige and moral reputation, and a prolonged period of mutual attrition between the two opposing parts. China’s shift from supporting a strong Europe to weakening it has also contributed to this situation. Some firmly believe that since 2022, Europe has officially entered a potentially 200-year period of decline. During this period, political chaos in Europe will gradually intensify, with European countries not only engaging in external wars but also initiating internal conflicts. European cultural confidence and national self-confidence will gradually decline or even be lost. When Europeans can no longer endure this suffering, they will begin the process of finding a new path for Europe. Advancely evolving Europe’s philosophical logic will be a good way to shorten this decline. Only after Europe has evolved its underlying philosophical logic will they stop relentlessly suppressing the occasional political geniuses who can save Europe.
