Ye Qiquan’s philosophy of investigation and application (MetaPolitica) defines humans, within the philosophical framework, as analogous to other organisms. Biological competition constructs different ecological positions within the Earth’s ecosystem. Even within the same biological population, competition is necessary to establish an internal order for resource allocation. In human society, this order manifests as imperial order (relations between states) and national institutions (domestic relations).

Niche competition and the essence of imperial order

An empire is essentially the guiding force of the political order within its sphere of influence (a region or even globally).

According to the observational methods of Metapolitica, humanity is the guiding force in the operational order of the entire Earth’s ecosystem. Empires are the guiding force in the operational order within the human species.

There will never be equal ecological positions with no potential difference within the Earth’s ecosystem. Humanity will never be able to establish a completely flat social structure without hierarchical differences.

Species that lose their internal hierarchical distinctions relinquish their competitive position within the Earth’s ecosystem. The result is a loss of the ability to choose their ecological location within the Earth’s biosphere.

Humanity has earned its current dominant ecological position within the Earth’s ecosystem through fierce historical competition. Choosing self-degradation or abandoning competition would mean relinquishing humanity’s overall dominant position within the Earth’s ecosystem, inevitably leading to the overall failure of humankind.

Human survival and development depend on competition, and imperial power is central to guiding the global political order. Order will always be needed, and so will empire.

The empire itself possesses significantly higher overall competitiveness than other neighboring or even global nations. This overall power difference is the fundamental force driving the normal operation of regional and even global order. An empire and its accompanying imperial order are not based on emotional preference or arbitrary choice. They are a result of the overall power difference (the difference in national overall competitiveness). This overall power difference can be reflected through a series of calculation equations.
